Wagon Train 2017 – Remuda Ride Outriders – 4-Day, 3-Night
August 21 - August 24$400
Join our posse of remuda ride outriders for a four day, three-night experience of a lifetime during the Wagon Train and Remuda Ride of 2017 at Western Legends Round-Up.
Remuda outriders will bring their own horses, tack, feed, vehicles, trailers, and other support materials and join the Western Legends Round-Up Wagon Train on the open trail.
This is truly one of those once-in-a-lifetime or “Bucket List” opportunities to ride, photograph, and BE photographed where Hollywood directors like John Ford worshiped, through cinema, these spectacular landscapes.
This isn’t a typical wagon train that some “Dude ranches” advertise online and in magazines where the “dudes” pay big bucks to move wagons, horses, or cattle from one mountain pasture or flat Texas property to another a few miles away. This will be over 60 miles in some of the most iconic Western scenery anywhere: directly below the rim of Bryce Canyon and across the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument!
As with the wagon train guests, all meals are provided (hot breakfast, sack lunch, and dinner). There will be Porta-Potties available and water for the horses. A list of suggested personal items for each participant to bring (mainly clothing, meds, sunscreen, personal hygiene items, etc.) will be provided at a later date. ‘Outriders’ bringing their own horses will be responsible for their own camp/RV needs. We will provide a list of suggested clothing for that climate at that time of year as well.
Average distance per day in the saddle will vary from 10-15 miles with rest stops for water and a lunch break. Shuttles will be included to move your truck & trailer forward to each new campsite daily.
More details about where and when to arrive will be communicated in the coming weeks.
Three items not allowed on the trek (due to safety and insurance requirements) are dogs, firearms, and alcohol. This does not mean those who are traveling with their own living quarters/RV & horse trailers cannot keep alcohol in their vehicles — we just want to make sure folks aren’t drinking on the trail or around the chuck-wagon/campfire in the evening to avoid any chance of undesired behavior. 🙂
So mark your calendars, start spending some time in the saddle to get you and your horse in ‘Trail condition’, and reserve your spot soon before this ride is sold out — we look forward to seeing you on the Western Legends Roundup Wagon Train and Remuda Ride this August!
