Western Legends Round-up / KCBS BBQ Cookoff

by | Apr 12, 2018 |

Western Legends is excited to sponsor a Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned “Master’s Competition” cook off!

The Western Legends Round-up BBQ Cookoff will pit passionate, upper-level grilling enthusiasts for a $10,000 purse and $1,000 People’s Choice prize. The 2018 Western Legends Round-Up will bring a KCBS Sanctioned “Masters Series” Barbeque Competition to Kanab. These professional, upper-level competitions determine who will progress to receiving an invitation to compete in the ‘American Royale’ and the ‘Jack Daniels World Championship’. The Master Series Sanctioned contestants will be required to cook four types of meat:  chicken, pork ribs, pork butt and brisket. Each meat will be judged on taste, appearance, and texture.

The Western Legends BBQ Cook-Off has room for more cookers and BBQ Cook teams.
Please consider entering our contest in beautiful sunny southern Utah.
Kanab is ~ 75 miles east of St. George Utah.
Thank you for your consideration.

This is a qualifying event for the participants to progress to the prestigious “American Royale” and the “Jack Daniels World Championships.”

?Does Our BBQ Team need to be a member of KCBS? No. Your team can enter this contest without being a KCBS team.

?How does one become a KCBS member? An individual membership to KCBS costs $40, and includes a subscription to The Bullsheet, the society’s monthly magazine, as well as inclusion in numerous discounts and special offers.

Your team must turn in all four meats: Chicken, ribs, pork, brisket.
KCBS rules and regulations are followed for this contest.   https://www.kcbs.us/downloads/rules_reg_2018_2.pdf
